Firefighters, EMT's are specially trained to assist in any emergency .  The dedicated professionals at CTVFD train every month in order to be proficient at all aspect of there jobs .  Special Rescue is also apart of the training as well as all aspect of Emergency Medical Services.  Our Tactical Rescue unit is specially designed by the department to provide a wide range of tactical rescue equipment in order to extricate people from car accidents.  Te Rescue team also is trained in Hazardous  Material as first responders to area major Industrial sites.  CTVFD also relies on another area agencies to assist in Special Rescue
